AT the end of May, I was admitted urgently to Poole Hospital suffering from severe breathlessness.
Many thorough tests, assessments and immediate treatment meant I was able to be discharged, in much improved health, after just over two weeks.
My sincere appreciation and grateful thanks to all members of staff in the Acute Medical Unit (formerly Ansty Ward) and A5 Avonbourne Ward as well as to all the vital support staff of course.
It is such a travesty that this will not be possible once ‘management’ get their way by moving all such cases to Bournemouth Hospital which, some say, can’t cope now.
What will happen when Poole Hospital is restricted to planned treatments combined with future numbers of residents in the area increasing by several thousand potential patients?
