DURING the recent weeks of the coronavirus lockdown, Queens Park Golf Course has been a very welcome resource for local families to take exercise.

It has been a very safe environment as there is plenty of room for social distancing and is a beautiful area which lifts the spirits.

Now that the golfers are allowed to return, this is no longer the case as walkers now have to dodge golf balls and it is no longer safe for children.

Of course I can appreciate that playing golf is also an important exercise but would it not be possible in the present climate for the council to open the course perhaps in the morning for non-golfers and allow golf in the afternoon or vice versa?
