I WAS interested in reading the letter from Mr Matthew Clifton (Daily Echo, Wednesday, September 26) regarding Yellow Buses in Christchurch and public transport in general.

I live at St Catherine’s Hill and the only public transport we have is a Morebus at 9.40am, 12.15pm and 2.15pm, Monday to Friday.

Our last bus back from Christchurch is 1.56pm and there are no buses at weekends or public holidays.

At Christmas and Easter we are without transport for four days.

As the majority of the people living in this area are of retirement age this can be very isolating.

West Christchurch is the forgotten part of the town as we have never had a bus to the airport in more than 20 years that I have lived in the borough, so a regular bus service to the airport would also help those of us living at Hurn and St Catherine’s Hill.
