I SAW the chaos on the M3 on Saturday. I also saw a lot of police officers standing around doing nothing when passing the scene at 2pm going northbound.
Why weren’t they directing people off at junction eight rather than letting unsuspecting motorists join a queue of traffic going nowhere?
I felt really sorry for those going nowhere - another good example of police stupidity. When we passed the scene my dad, aged 85 and a retired police officer, said he hoped heads would roll for their complete incompetence.
