IT would appear that the next big thing is 3D TV.

The main problem is that millions of viewers only changed their sets last year in anticipation of the switchover to digital so are naturally loathe to fork out on another upgrade so soon.

This has provided a huge gap in the market and enterprising towns and cities throughout the land are plugging this gap by opening 3D cinemas which appear to be playing to full houses most nights.

Bournemouth could easily jump on the bandwagon by opening a similar facility in the town centre which would overcome the common complaint of insufficient wet weather facilities.

Surely the ideal venue for one of these complexes would be on the old lmax site?
