ONCE again we are being told that we waste far too much food but there must be millions of pensioners like me who endeavour to use every morsel.
Over the past week l have carefully hoarded the scraps that l normally throw away and am now the proud owner of a handful of potato peelings, one cabbage stump, nine used teabags, four empty eggshells and a herringbone.
l am now hoping that some kind soul will come up with a recipe enabling me to turn these store cupboard essentials into a delicious and nourishing meal.
