RISING star Katy Jarvis triumphed in the under-10 tennis club championship at the West Hants Club – to complete an unprecedented first for her proud family.

Her achievement saw her get her name on the club honours board, alongside father Peter, mother Vikki and brother Tim.

Peter won the men’s doubles in 2014 and 2015, Tim lifted the boys’ under-10 crown in 2013 and 2014, while Vikki is a multiple club champion at both squash and racquetball.

The sporting quartet are the first complete family to appear on the honours board at the renowned Dorset club, which is based on Roslin Road South in Bournemouth.

Katy (pictured) is ranked 18th nationally in the girls’ 10-and-under age group.

She has represented Dorset for the past two years, while her brother Tim is in the national 12-and-under tennis squad and is ranked 21st in the country.

Vikki is also a previous winner of the national doubles title at racquetball and was crowned squash club champion in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013.

Peter, who captains the West Hants men’s tennis team and Dorset over-45s, reached the top five of the amateur real tennis world rankings in the mid-1990s.
