TEENAGE talent Bradley Cowdroy reached the Cuestars South of England Under-21 Gold Tour final on his home tables at Greenbaize.

But the 13-year-old missed out on a second straight win over 16-year-old Callum Browne (Players, Westbury) after losing a thrilling showdown.

Bradley had clawed back a two-frame deficit to prevail 3-2 in the quarter-finals of last month’s Cuestars event in Coulsdon.

When the pair met in the final in Bournemouth, Callum again took a 2-0 lead before left-hander Bradley pulled one back.

However, Callum sunk a long pink in the fourth frame to get over the line.

Bradley has risen to joint-fifth in the rankings following two straight final defeats, while Brad Chappell (Poole) is joint-second.

Greenbaize’s Reece King, who recorded a tournament-high break of 56, failed to progress to the knockout stages.

But he did collect a trophy after losing to Charlie Pringle (Chandler’s Ford) in the plate final.

Bradley’s younger brother Adam qualified for the Silver Tour knockout for the first time where he lost 2-0 to Steven Hughes (Chandler’s Ford), the day after recording a highest break of 38 with his new cue.
