AMY Brown struck gold five times to lead a 22-medal haul for Swim Bournemouth at the highly-competitive Millfield and Street Super Series Open Meet.

The 13-year-old’s winnings at the level 1 meet included a clean sweep of the breaststroke events with victories over 50m, 100m and 200m.

She narrowly missed a second sweep in the backstroke, winning gold in the 50m and 200m but having to settle for silver in the 100m.

Team-mate Millie Sleeman had a busy weekend, winning the 10-11yrs 50m and 100m butterfly at Millfield before heading for Dorchester where she again struck gold at the Poole Open Meet.

Her 50m time at Millfield ranks her sixth in Britain in her age group.

Club captain Abby Manns also struck gold at Millfield, winning the 15yrs 200m breaststroke before adding silver in the 100m.

Gold also went to Drew McGregor in the 13yrs 100m breaststroke and Alex Palotai-Avella in the 13yrs 800m freestyle.

Ellie Brown and Alan Szczasiuk each made the podium five times.

Brown took silver in the 10-11yrs 50m and 100m backstroke and 200m individual medley (IM) and bronze in the 50m and 100m freestyle.

Szczasiuk won silver in the 13yrs 50m breaststroke and butterfly and bronze in the 100m breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle.

Harriet Fish came second in the 10-11yrs 800m freestyle at Millfield before hitting the gold trail at Dorchester.

Poole’s Max Looker and Molly Goddard came close to matching Amy Brown’s tally with four golds apiece in the 10-11 age group.

Looker won gold in the 100m and 200m freestyle and 200m and 400m IM as well as silver in the 50m and 400m freestyle and 50m butterfly and bronze in the 50m breaststroke.

Goddard won gold in the 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle and 200m IM, silver in the 50m freestyle and bronze in the 100m backstroke.

Robbie Hemmings’ six medals included gold in the 12yrs 200m backstroke as well as silver in the 50m and 100m backstroke, 50m and 400m freestyle and 50m fly.

Kelvin Wong added a silver and a bronze to Poole’s 23-medal tally with second in the 16yrs 100m breaststroke and third in the 50m.

Leonie Wiehle added a bronze in the 18yrs 50m butterfly.

Cody Collins and Sam Chamberlain each won three golds, Collins taking the 9yrs 50m backstroke 100m freestyle and 100m IM, Chamberlain the 100m butterfly and 200m freestyle and breaststroke.

Other Swim Bournemouth winners were Minnie Barratt (10yrs 50m and 200m breast), Polly Ghandour (9yrs 100m breast), Max Lanning (13yrs 200m fly), Amelia Reynolds (13yrs 200m free), Lilianna Scoulding-Jones (12yrs 100m fly), James Stevens (9yrs 100m back) and Jacka Ware (10yrs 200m back).
