TEENAGER Elliott Kuzyk recorded an impressive victory at a major National Topper event at Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy.
The 15-year-old claimed top spot against 153 other competing boats from across the UK.
The Parkstone Yacht Club youngster was in 2014 chosen for Great Britain duty having claimed Southern Area Champions titles for four straight years.
Kuzyk is now training for the ITCA World Championships in Ireland in July and will go on to August's National Championships at North Berwick, the venue where older brother Giles won his first national crown.
Parkstone Yacht Club commodore Bryan Drake said: “We are very proud to have a sailor of Elliott’s calibre at the club and very much look forward to seeing his sailing career progress further.
"We are fortunate to have excellent facilities and waters in Poole and the young sailors really benefit from the opportunities open to them within our fantastic youth section.”
Kuzyk's club-mate Christiaan Wakefield came fifth.
Parkstone Yacht Club has three Olympic and Paralympic sailors among its membership – Annie Lush, Rodney Pattison and Niki Birrell – as well as national and international champions.
