MATT Painter's try double helped Ellingham & Ringwood register a 39-24 victory over Dorset & Wilts Three South neighbours Fordingbridge.
Brad Evans, Ollie Harvey, Jamie Kynaston and Josh Berry also went over as the bonus-point win saw Es climb to fifth place in the table.
Berry converted his try, while full-back Nick Doulton also kicked a penalty and two conversions.
Meanwhile, Ellingham & Ringwood’s 100 per cent winning record came to an end when they suffered a 46-5 defeat against Supermarine in the quarter-final of the RFU Junior Cup.
Ellingham’s cup run had involved wins over two clubs from higher leagues, but Swindon-based Supermarine, who are one division below the Premiership, were too strong for the New Forest outfit.
Ellingham’s only try was scored by centre Kiera Paul-Jones.
Es coach Henry Benson said: “We have had a fantastic cup run, but our priority has always been to win the league and we now need to focus on taking enough points from our remaining three games to achieve that goal.”
