DORSET star Georgia Hall is preparing to tee it up in an exceptional field when she competes in the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore.

The world number 30 is this week set to take to the Tanjong Course at Sentosa Golf Club in her third LPGA Tour event of the season.

Wimborne-based Hall is scheduled to begin her opening round alongside South Korea’s Chella Choi and Australia’s Su Oh.

The trio are the final game to feature off the 10th tee at 2.23am on Thursday (UK time).

A considerable purse of $1,500,000 is at stake for competitors at the showpiece event, which was first competed for in 2008.

Two-time champion Inbee Park is poised to make her first appearance on the LPGA Tour this season.

There are also places for world number two Lexi Thompson and last week’s tour winner Jessica Korda.

Hall comes into the event having finished in a tie for 13th at the Women’s Australian Open and 30th at the Honda LPGA Thailand last time out.

The former Canford Kid earned a full tour card with the LPGA having come through qualifying school in Florida in December.
