DORSET star Georgia Hall is tomorrow due to begin the final tournament of her most successful season in professional golf.

The former Oakmead College pupil is set to tee it up in the Dubai Ladies' Classic knowing she has already secured top spot in the Ladies' European Tour's order of merit.

While Wimborne-based Hall is yet to taste tournament success on the LET, her incredible consistency has seen her blow away her rivals in the rankings.

The 21-year-old heads into the £375,000 event at Emirates Golf Club with tour earnings of £320,000, more than double that of nearest rival Carlota Ciganda.

Hall has finished in the top 10 in seven out of nine tournaments and was runner-up in the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies' Open in November.

The world number one warmed up for Dubai by earning an LPGA Tour card, securing access to a raft of lucrative tournaments against some of the globe's best players.

Hall is one of seven Solheim Cup players in the field this week and is due to begin her first round at 7.35am UK time.

Her playing partners are 2016 ANA Inspiration runner-up Charley Hull and American Beth Allen, who won the LET order of merit last year.
