POOLE Town have successfully appealed the red card brandished to goalkeeper Nick Hutchings against Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday.
Dolphins boss Tom Killick was convinced his stopper should not have been sent off for an 18th-minute foul on Alfie Rutherford which led to the Hawks’ opening goal.
Referee Ian Fissenden confirmed to the Daily Echo that he had dismissed Hutchings for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity when he felled Rutherford on the edge of the box.
The sending off has since been rescinded, meaning Hutchings will be available for Poole’s National South home clash against Eastbourne Borough on Saturday (3pm).
