LEWIS Ross struck twice for Bashley as they recorded an impressive 4-2 triumph over Alresford Town in Sydenhams Wessex Premier.
Goals from Conor Whiteley and Dan Munday also came for the hosts at Bashley Road as the New Forest side chalked up their 11th league success of the campaign.
Bash climbed to 10th in the table following the victory, they have 37 points from 29 games.
Brockenhurst had no answer to Matt Simm’s decisive strike as they were beaten 1-0 at home against Fareham Town.
The Badgers tonight host Team Solent at Meadens Skoda Arena knowing a win would take them above the Students in the table.
Bashley are at home to second-place Blackfield & Langley.
Poppies, whose clash with Hamworthy United on Saturday was postponed, are set to visit AFC Portchester looking for their third win on the bounce (all 7.45pm).
In Wessex One, strugglers Verwood Town were thumped 5-0 at high-fliers Laverstock & Ford.
Russell Jones hit a double and there was also goals from Chae Sykes, Adam Bourner and Archie Lovegrove as Potters remained second from bottom in the division.
Adie Arnold’s men have five wins from their past 24 league fixtures.
