SUPERSUB Scott Walters came off the bench to fire Bashley into the last four of the Bournemouth Senior Cup at the expense of Wessex Premier rivals Hamworthy United.

Walters netted twice late on to seal a dramatic second-half comeback as Bash recorded a 3-2 win at Bashley Road last night.

Dan Cann's penalty and a header from Max Buckler had put Hammers in the driving seat, both goals coming early in the second period.

But after Lewis Ross had converted a spot-kick to halve the deficit, Walters turned the game on its head.

He initially pounced after Harry McGrath’s strike had cannoned off the post to make it 2-2.

And the tie was sealed when Walters latched on to a cross on the angle to slot home the winner five minutes from time.

Doubles from Oliver Dennett and Mitchell Speechley-Price helped Brockenhurst progress to the third round of the Southampton Senior Cup.

A strike from Mark Barker, coupled with an own goal, ensured the Badgers recorded a 6-0 triumph over Southampton Premier outfit Bishops Waltham Dynamos.

Lymington were beaten 1-0 at Andover New Street in the third round of the Sydenhams League Cup.

And New Milton exited the Russell-Cotes Cup at the first hurdle following a 2-0 defeat by Fareham Town at Fawcett's Sports Ground.
