CHERRIES have not agreed a deal with Fenerbahce for wide man Bright Osayi-Samuel, the Daily Echo understands.

Some reports in Turkey claim the 25-year-old is set to join Cherries for around £12million, penning a four-and-a-half year contract.

However, the Echo understands that to be wide of the mark, with Osayi-Samuel not somebody the club are currently pursuing.

Osayi-Samuel moved to the Turkish giants in January 2021, having previously spent all his career in England.

He plays as a winger or wing-back and came through the youth ranks of Blackpool, before progressing into the first team.

He moved to QPR in the summer of 2017, where he scored 13 goals and provided 13 assists in 115 appearances, before his switch to Istanbul.

Osayi-Samuel made his Nigeria debut in November of last year.

Some reports in Turkey have suggested Cherries have sent a private jet to Istanbul to speak with Osayi-Samuel.

The Sun claim Cherries are suggesting an initial loan with a view to buy him at a later date. The report adds that a fee of around £12million would likely be required.

Meanwhile, Cherries have agreed a deal with Sassuolo to sign midfielder Hamed Traore and are close to confirming the arrival of Matias Vina from Roma.
