BOSS Alan Connell hailed the composure of Cherries under-18 striker Connor Kurran-Browne.

The teenage frontman netted on no fewer than four occasions during the Dorset club’s 5-0 victory over EFL Youth Alliance rivals Yeovil Town on Saturday.

Under-18 boss Connell told the club website: “To score four goals is great for him, they were different types of goals as well.

“He’s showing good composure, instincts to get in and around the six-yard box and the willingness to take a shot on.

“We’ve always felt there was more in him and he’s starting to show that which is pleasing. He probably could have had one or two more goals but he’s heading in the right direction.”

Euan Pollock was also on target for Cherries at Canford Park Arena.

“They were difficult conditions with regards to the rain and the pitch was a bit soft at times, but I thought the boys deserved credit,” said Connell.

“We got what we wanted out of it, which was playing out under pressure. We took the ball well and moved it quickly and were a threat in the final third.

“Yeovil played their part in a really good game, it made it difficult for us at times but we had a bit of extra quality which enabled us to run out as winners.”
