LOANEE Emerson Hyndman has praised boss Eddie Howe's "attention to detail" at parent club Cherries.

The midfielder is currently on loan in MLS with Atlanta United having featured only eight times in three years since joining the Dorset club from Fulham.

But despite his lack of game time at Cherries, the USA international hailed the work of Howe.

He told The Athletic: "I think what makes him so great in general is his attention to detail.

"He's always in early. He studies the sessions. He studies the opponent. And he's very detailed about his approach to training.

"He's always out on the pitch working with people, even the people that work extra. He's always working.

"He's not one to bark really on the sideline. A very methodical guy, very smart – thought things through.

"I think he didn't really need to say too much in game because he did so much prep before. Everyone knew what they had to do during game time."

Atlanta have the option to make Hyndman's deal permanent later this year and the 23-year-old departed England having made just one start in the Premier League – in May 2018 for Cherries at Burnley.

Before moving to Atlanta, Hyndman also enjoyed loan spells at Hibernian and Rangers in Scotland and last played for Cherries in April this year as a substitute in the 3-3 draw at Southampton.
