EDDIE Howe believes the injury suffered by Adam Smith at Leicester is "not serious" but that he will have to "wait and see" to discover the full severity of the problem.

Smith limped off after 64 minutes at King Power Stadium having raced from one end of field to the other to block an attack from the hosts.

And Howe revealed it was a muscular complaint which saw Smith replaced by Jordon Ibe.

"It was a long recovery run from Adam," explained Howe.

"He went to block a cross and he felt his hamstring straight away.

"Looking at the fact he walked off I don't think it was a serious one, but enough for him to know what he's done and to get off the pitch.

"It will be one of those that, maybe, you can get back in seven to 10 days. Who knows? We will wait and see."
