CHERRIES progressed to the third round of the Carabao Cup after surviving a penalty shoot-out against Forest Green Rovers at Vitality Stadium.
Goalkeeper Mark Travers pulled off three saves as the tie was decided 3-0 in favour of the hosts from the spot, following a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes.
Victory meant Eddie Howe’s men will make the trip to Burton Albion in the next stage.
