LOAN star Harry Wilson “loved” his Premier League debut and said: “It’s what I’ve been working towards.”

The Wales international played a starring role and netted what proved to be the winner in Cherries’ 2-1 victory at Aston Villa.

Wilson’s deflected strike flew into the net to put Eddie Howe’s men two goals up after Joshua King had converted from the penalty spot.

Douglas Luiz struck what proved to be a consolation for the hosts 19 minutes from time.

Wrexham-born Wilson scored 18 goals in 49 games for Championship Derby last season but admitted he had been relishing the chance to play at the top level.

He told afcbTV: “I loved it. It’s what I’ve been working towards.

“I have had a lot of minutes in the Championship and internationally but never in the Prem.

“I was delighted to get my first minutes, thankful to the manager for picking me from the start and I enjoyed it.

“I just wanted to get out there, get on the ball, try to create stuff and I felt I did that.

“You train every day for a Saturday or a Sunday, so to finally get out there and do it in a match situation was great.

“The lads helped me through it to play with the pace going forwards – the more experienced ones were talking me through the game, so it really helped.”
