WINGER Jordon Ibe has backed team-mate Lys Mousset to add to his goal tally after the Frenchman opened his account for Cherries.

The 21-year-old sparked a comeback in the 2-2 FA Cup draw against Wigan with a powerful strike into the roof of the net.

It was Mousset's first goal since his move from Le Havre in the summer of 2016.

Ibe, who has formed a close friendship with the attacker and provided the assist for his goal, told the club website: "Lys has been working hard. He's done some great finishes in training so it was about time for him to get his first goal.

"It's been difficult for him since he came here. He has not had the best of chances but this season he has had chances so, hopefully, the goals will flood in for him."

Mousset ended his drought on his 28th appearance for Cherries, having spurned chances in the first half.

He said: "I try to do my best for the team. It was in my mind to keep going and I will keep on going.

"I need to work hard in training and play well when I come on. I will try to do my best for the fans."
