CHERRIES are rumoured to be close to bringing in Colchester United young gun Sammie Szmodics.
The Daily Star Sunday reports Cherries are "set to sign" the League Two side's top scorer and speculates the fee is "in the region of £1million".
Szmodics has netted 11 goals this season but was left on the bench for Colchester's home defeat to Cheltenham yesterday.
Boss John McGreal claimed the 22-year-old was suffering from fatigue.
