RUSSELL Tinsdale is calling on Wimborne players to replicate their stunning late fightback against Swans earlier this season when they clash in the county cup.

The Bestwall boys appeared to be cruising to victory when they led 20-9 with just 10 minutes to go in the South West One East clash in September.

But the All Blacks hit back hard to run in two tries, and they only missed out on sealing a famous triumph when they missed a conversion in the dying seconds.

Tinsdale, who's side lost that nail-biter 20-19 at Leigh Park, wants a repeat performance at Bestwall tomorrow (2pm) - only for the whole 80 minutes, not just 10.

He said: "We need to go out from the kick-off and play like we finished that game and not let them build up an early lead."

Wimborne are boosted by the return to their squad of Denny Champ, who has been unavailable for six weeks because he has been in Oman.

Swans coach Tom Dillon, whose side are renowned county cup fighters and have won the trophy a record 12 times since 1989, said: "We won't be treating this game as a leisurely walk in the park.

"We respect how well Wimborne have adapted to South West One East following promotion.

"They had a great win over Olney last Saturday. Their forwards are dominating and they have a good set of backs.

"But we are slowly hitting form this season as well, especially in the forwards, and we beat Reading Abbey at home last weekend.

"Wimborne's tails will be up, but we always do well in the cup and are confident of winning as well."
