CHRIS Holder admits he is seriously considering taking on a personal manager to oversee his growing travelling commitments.

At the moment, the Grand Prix star, who complained of being “physically drained” during Pirates’ clash at Wolves last month, books all his hotels, ferries and flights himself.

But he’s fully aware he mustn’t let the organisational side and logistics of riding regularly in the British, Polish and Swedish leagues, plus the GP series, get on top of him.

With that in mind, Holder said: “The actual riding part is the easiest bit.

“When you get on your bike you don’t have to worry about anything. You just have to go out and race. People just think you turn up and race and go home. I wish it was like that!

“Everyone is shattered after meetings. But after Sunday’s GP had finished at Gorican, I got to my Torun base by 5am.

“I slept until noon and then we had to leave to catch the ferry to Sweden at 5pm ahead of Tuesday night’s meeting there.

“It’s not just me, it’s all the other guys, but I’m still getting used to it. I have to use my time a bit smarter, save my energy a bit more for when I definitely need it.

“I book my flights, hotels and all the other things that go with the travelling, like ferries, and my mechanics get the bikes to the different tracks.

“The GPs are so intense as well. It drains you mentally. You put so much effort into all the meetings, not just GPs.

“So maybe if I got a manager it would ease the burden a bit.”

Holder, meanwhile, admitted to Poole’s fans he’d inadvertently caused the accident which saw Peterborough’s Rory Schlein sustain an ankle injury during their 50-39 defeat at Wimborne Road on Wednesday.

Revealing he had collided with Schlein on the second bend, not down the back straight as first thought, Holder said: “Neils-Kristian (Iversen) and I both had too much speed going into the first turn.

“I knew I was going to hit Rory, although I didn’t mean to do it, and did everything I could not to.

“Afterwards I went and saw him and apologised and I think he was okay with that. I’m just happy he appears to be okay because it could have been a lot worse.”

Schlein, who sustained soft tissue damage, has been declared fit for Panthers’ crunch home league clash against Coventry tonight.
