BASHLEY boss Steve Riley has strengthened his attacking options with the signing of former Cherries frontman Dave Town.

Town, who is also registered with Wessex League outfit Wimborne, goes straight into the Bashley squad for tonight’s Red Insure Cup clash at VT FC (7.45pm).

The striker is no stranger to the New Forest club, having plied his trade at the Recreation Ground during the 2007-08 season.

“He’s got a bit of quality and a bit of experience,” said Riley.

Riley has also snapped up 19-year-old Tom Earles.

The Bash manager is set to hand some of his fringe players starts in tonight’s cup clash, with youngsters Mike Mead and Duncan Bray named in the squad.

Tom Killick is sweating on the fitness of evergreen midfielder Taffy Richardson as Poole Town prepare to visit Totton and Eling in the Wessex Premier.

Richardson, who is struggling with a calf problem, missed Saturday’s shock defeat against Blackfield and Langley through suspension.

He has served the one-match ban and could return alongside Stuart Brown and Dave Sturgess, but Lamin Dibba (suspended) and Aaron Skelton (unavailable) miss out. Pete Smith could feature, dependent on work commitments.
