James Croker’s table-topping outfit could seal their passage into the RFU’s reorganised South West Division One with a win at home to Oldfield Old Boys tomorrow – but only if Pete Kennedy’s Slaughtergate side can edge out third-placed Frome.

Croker said: “Training has gone really well this week. We’ve got no real worries, but the game is not a ‘given’.”

Centre Kieron McTaggert could make his Oaks first-team debut after impressing in the club’s second team, while Mike Notobartolo is unavailable.
