THE Cherries “again played well” but were left frustrated as individual mistakes cost them vs Brentford, but Marco Rose admitted he is not concerned about those errors and instead looks to see how his side reacts to them.

Bournemouth were held to a 2-2 draw against the Bees, after their visitors to the Vitality Stadium scored with their only two shots on target in the game.

They came from an Adrien Truffert error to see Brentford take the lead, and then a Djordje Petrovic mistake led to the equaliser in the second half.

Reflecting on the game, Rose told the Daily Echo: “We played well again, put a lot of effort in the game, had a good attitude.

“We played quite confident, and we are in the most stats up, better than Brentford, but at the end they scored two goals with two shots on target and we scored two goals with ten shots on target. That's the point.”

On the mistakes, the boss said: “It's part of the game and it happens.

“I mean, everyone is a human being and even our goalkeeper or our centre defender or our full-back or our striker who is not scoring.

“So, I don't care about the mistake. I felt that even if we concede this goal, we are able to win the game because we were the better team.

“But I care about the reaction.

“So for me, it's how we stick together as a team, how we handle the situation. And if we do it the right way, we're going to change this phase we have now being, to be honest, a little bit unlucky.”

Rose remains positive, though.

They head into Europe next, with a trip to Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The boss is happy with how his side has performed so far this season, despite results.

“I think if you watch our games, I think it's a joy,” he said.

“You always see goals. Of course, I would like to win better, 4-3, than have a draw.

“But at the end, we work on it, we are talking about it, and we felt on Tuesday how good it is to win games, to have a clean sheet.

“And again, nobody's doing mistakes with intention.

“It happened. We played again well today. We have to keep this level, this effort, and then we're going to reward us the next games.”
