REAL Sociedad and the San Sebastian city council are preparing to welcome an estimated 1,900 Cherries fans to the Reale Arena and city next week as Bournemouth get their Europa League campaign underway.
According to local news outlet El Diario Vasco, the club, council and Basque Police are preparing a security plan for the visit, with the newspaper reporting that “importantly, this group of supporters does not include any ultras, a relief to everyone in San Sebastian”.

As of earlier this week, 1,700 of the 1,900 tickets available to Bournemouth fans have been sold, with the full allocation expected to sell out.

Supporters can bring mobile phones, small fold-up umbrellas, small bags, clear plastic bottles of water of 500ml or less with the top removed, food and non-offensive flags or banners of two metres by three metres or less.
But there is a lengthy list of items that are prohibited for travelling fans.
That includes items such as knives or weapons, smoke or gas canisters and fireworks, flares or pyrotechnics.

Air horns, pushchairs, large-bodied cameras, image or sound recording devices, large bags or suitcases, umbrellas, poles or sticks, lighters, tools and flags or banners larger than two metres by three metres or of an offensive nature are also banned.
The stadium is also a no smoking stadium, including the use of e-cigarettes.
Bars at the stadium are card only, too.
