ANDONI Iraola hailed Vitality’s front-of-shirt sponsorship of the Cherries as “very good news” with a company with such a big presence in the town expanding their partnership with the club.
It was announced on Friday morning that the health and life insurance company would replace controversial betting company BJ88 on the front of the AFC Bournemouth shirts from next season.
The announcement confirmed that Vitality, which has a major business presence in the Dorset town, had agreed a “multi-year” deal with the club, building on their existing relationship and stadium naming rights deal.
Asked about the new expanded sponsorship, Iraola said: “I think it's very, very good news. I think Vitality is a company that we know very well.
“Obviously with the stadium name rights, they've been with us at least the time I've been in the club.
“I did an interview also with them, I remember with Greg [Levine, deputy CEO], very nice guys. I think also they have the offices here, the headquarters in Bournemouth, because I go every time you go through Bournemouth, you see the building.
“So I think it's very, very good news for the club that a company that we know for so long and they will continue to be with us.”
