WITH Antoine Semenyo suspended, Luis Sinisterra injured and Dango Ouattara returning to fitness, this weekend's trip to Wolves could provide an opportunity for David Brooks to stake his claim to start for the Cherries.
Brooks opened his account for the season after coming off the bench against Brighton the previous weekend in the 2-1 defeat.
With Semenyo and Sinisterra on the sidelines, Brooks may get the opportunity from the start on Saturday at Molineux.
Brooks hasn’t started a league game for the Cherries since the 2-1 defeat to Wolves in October 2023.
The goal last weekend was his first for Bournemouth since his strike in the 5-0 victory over Swansea in the FA Cup.
Since 2018, he has made 119 appearances for Cherries, scoring on 21 occasions in all competitions.
Looking ahead to the game, Iraola said: “He will definitely be involved in the game, especially with Sini and Antoine out in the outside positions.”
Iraola added: “I hope he does well, the same as Tav [Marcus Tavernier], as Dango [Ouattara], as Justin [Kluivert], as the players that can play there.
“Because we always say it's key for us to get everyone involved to have more players in their best form available and now, we will need them because we are quite short of numbers.”
