DEAN Huijsen’s father, Donny, says “the Bournemouth project was the best” as he explained why he has made the move to Cherries.
A number of clubs were linked with the highly-rated 19-year-old this summer, but Cherries got the deal done with Juventus, for an initial €15.2million.
Spain under-21 international Huijsen, who was born in Amsterdam, featured once for Juventus’s first team, playing regularly during the second half of last season out on loan at Roma.

Discussing Dean’s move, former Ajax academy player Donny Huijsen told tuttojuve.com: "We were contacted by Tiago Pinto (Cherries’ new president of football operations), the same director who brought Dean to Roma.
“Other clubs also made themselves heard from us, but the Bournemouth project was the best and hence the choice of the Premier League.
"The aim will be to play as many minutes as possible for Bournemouth, to become a better player and to help his new club achieve their seasonal goals."
He added: “We as a family are very proud of his arrival in the Premier League, it is the best league in the world and to see that your son at 19 will play there is fantastic."
Reflecting on his son’s three years with Juventus, Donny Huijsen said: "We liked many things about Juventus.
“What stood out the most was the warmth of the club and the friendliness of the people who worked there who gave us the feeling of being part of this great family.”
Asked if a return to Turin could be on the cards one day, he added: “Now the dream is to play in the Premier League with the Bournemouth shirt.
“In football you never say never, so we'll see what happens.
“Now he'll just think about doing well with his new club."
