MILOS Kerkez was sent off as Hungary booked their spot at the European Championship finals last night.

The Cherries defender started for his nation away at Bulgaria, Hungary knowing a point would guarantee their place at Euro 2024.

And things were going well early on, Martin Adam breaking the deadlock inside 10 minutes, only for Spas Delev to equalise.

The hosts were reduced to 10 men as Valentin Antov received his second yellow card before the half was out.

But the numbers were evened up early into the second period, Kerkez receiving his second booking for a sliding challenge.

Hungary then fell behind to a Kiril Despodov penalty, only for an Alex Petkov own goal, deep into stoppage time, to see the game end level and earn Marco Rossi’s side the point they needed.

Elsewhere, Ryan Christie started for Scotland in their Euro 2024 qualifier away at Georgia, but was subbed at half-time having been booked.

Steve Clarke’s side, who have already made it to next year’s finals, also grabbed a late 2-2 draw.

Luis Sinisterra came off the bench for Colombia at half-time as they beat Brazil 2-1, thanks to an emotionally-charged brace from Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, his father watching on from the stands days after being released by kidnappers.
