CHERRIES’ development squad continued their impressive run of form with a 3-2 win at Norwich City in the Premier League Cup.
Alan Connell’s men are now unbeaten in nine matches, winning eight.
Early goals from Dominic Sadi and Nathan Moriah-Welsh put Cherries ahead, only for the Canaries to battle back.
Joe Duffy struck a quick-fire double, before Daniel Adu-Adjei found the winner, to move Cherries top of the group at the halfway mark.
Connell made just one change from the midweek win over Swansea City, Sadi coming in for Gavin Kilkenny, who was not involved.
And Cherries broke the deadlock inside four minutes at Lotus Training Centre.
Moriah-Welsh robbed a Norwich defender of possession, before crossing for Adu-Adjei, who was denied by goalkeeper Caleb Ansen. But Sadi was well positioned to fire in on the rebound.
Ben Greenwood and Moriah-Welsh went close to doubling the tally, before the Guyana international did find the net having exchanged passes with Adu-Adjei.
Adu-Adjei saw two good efforts come and go, before the Canaries forged a way back into the contest.
Duffy poked in just past the hour mark, before equalising soon after when his cross-cum-shot found its way in over Cameron Plain.
But Cherries scored the winner on 73 minutes, Adu-Adjei following up his hat-trick midweek with the decisive strike.
