ANDONI Iraola did not rule out further business at Cherries this window but stated that he now believes he has the right number of players at the club.
The Basque boss believes that once Cherries’ injury crisis alleviates, he will have the right amount of players for the rest of the campaign.
So far this summer, Cherries have made Hamed Traore’s loan move from Sassuolo permanent, bought Frenchman Romain Faivre before loaning the winger out to FC Lorient, and drafted in Inter Milan goalkeeper Andrei Radu on loan.
Midfielders Alex Scott and Tyler Adams have joined from Bristol City and Leeds United, respectively, although the pair are currently sidelined, whilst Justin Kluivert and Milos Kerkez have also bolstered Cherries’ options.
Asked if he would still like to add to his squad, Iraola replied: “No, number wise I think we have the players, we have the numbers, and now it will depend on departures.
“The players leave, we will have to substitute them.
“But the club is ready, they are working for sure for what the market is offering.
“So you never know when is a good moment, when a good player is available.
“But number wise I think we are done.
“But, unfortunately right now with Alex and Tyler’s injury, the ones we had before, probably we don't have the numbers today.
“But we will have them when everyone is recovered and everyone is ready to play.”
When quizzed if he was ruling out any future business, Iraola responded: “No, probably it can happen.
“Probably will be some signing because there is always movement last days of the market in every club.
“So probably some players leaving, some new ones arriving, I don't know, can happen.
“But it's also possible that there are no signings the same way.
“I told you before, Tyler Adams, that we needed someone there in the midfield.
“ Now I think numbers wise we will have them because right now they are injured, we cannot use them, they cannot play.
“But thinking mid to long term, I think we are set with the players we have.”
