CHERRIES have confirmed the departure of Jack Stacey, with the right-back set to join Norwich on a free-transfer following the expiry of his contract.

Arriving from Luton Town in the summer of 2019 for a few believed to be in the region of £4 million, Stacey went on to make 98 appearances for Cherries.

This campaign former Reading man Stacey made just 10 Premier League appearances, starting just twice after finding himself behind both Adam Smith and Ryan Fredericks.

Stacey has signed a three-year deal at Carrow Road, which will take effect from Saturday, July 1.

Speaking about the move, Stacey told Norwich’s website: “I’m really looking forward to getting started. It's a club whose ambitions match mine.

"One of the main things I spoke about with the head coach and with Stuart (Webber) is playing intense, fast, forward football, something I believe will suit my style of play and something that I can fit into.

"I'm really excited. I feel like I'm coming into my peak years, I've got experience from being around different clubs. I want to get back to the Premier League and this is the perfect club to do that."
