CAPTAIN Neto will miss Cherries’ final game of the season due to personal reasons after a close family bereavement.
The 33-year-old will be absent as Cherries round off their Premier League campaign away at Everton (4.30pm).
Cherries will also don black armbands in remembrance of the goalkeeper’s mother.
Mark Travers will start in his stead in between the sticks.
Head coach Gary O'Neil shared: "Neto had to leave the team hotel yesterday late for personal reasons.
"He's flown back to Brazil, our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this moment."
First-choice in the Championship last term, the Irishman has served as deputy to Neto this campaign.
Travers’ last start in the Premier League came in the 3-0 defeat away at Old Trafford in January.
Despite playing second-fiddle to the Brazilian, Travers played in both of Cherries’ two wins so far over Everton this season.
He helped the side to a 4-1 win in the League Cup, before keeping a clean sheet in the 3-0 league win days later.
The 23-year-old has started 11 Premier League games this term, conceding 31 goals and recording two clean sheets.
A summer signing from European giants Barcelona, Neto has made 27 Premier League appearances for Cherries, keeping six clean sheets and conceding 39 times.
Well respected in the Cherries dressing room, the former Juventus goalie was named club captain by head coach O’Neil in February.
