MANCHESTER United boss Erik ten Hag finds it “really brilliant” that Cherries will continue their stint in the Premier League.
Gary O’Neil’s charges have secured their position in next season’s top-flight with two games spare, meaning Cherries will have spent seven out of the past 10 years in the first tier.
In comparison, Cherries have spent just seven years in the second tier in their near-100 years as members of the Football League.
Whilst Cherries are safe and effectively have nothing to play for, ten Hag’s side arrive at Vitality Stadium tomorrow afternoon (kick-off 3pm) still embroiled in a battle for a spot in next year’s Champions League.
The Red Devils also have an FA Cup final with rivals Manchester City on the horizon, with silverware already secured this term in the form of the League Cup.
Asked what he thought about Cherries, ten Hag replied: "I think, as far as I can see, it's really brilliant that a club like Bournemouth (have been) that long in the Premier League (over the years) and now already, before the end of the season, they are definitely safe for next season in the Premier League as well.
“So, I think it's a massive performance from them, it's a good team, it's a really good structure in that team, you can see clear patterns. So, well done."
