POOLE Pirates will be represented in Paul Starke’s upcoming testimonial meeting.

Starke, 32, was part of the Pirates septet in both 2015 and 2017 and now represents Championship rivals Plymouth Gladiators.

The Coliseum will play host to Starke’s big night next week, with a four-team tournament set to take place on Tuesday.

Starke is set to represent Cradley, who he helped to back-to-back National Development League titles in the 2010s.

He will be joined by Adam Roynon, who himself will line up at reserve for Poole in 2023.

The four-man Poole team is set to be Richie Worrall, Danyon Hume, Kyle Newman and Ben Trigger, with teams from Plymouth and Somerset also set to be featured.

Pirates’ competitive season gets underway the following night (April 5) away at Oxford Cheetahs in the BSN Series.
