CHERRIES chief executive Neill Blake believes new recruit Matias Vina will add “a great deal of experience” to Cherries’ “youthful squad” after arriving from Roma.

The 25-year-old, who helped Jose Mourinho’s side win the Europa Conference League last season, has joined on loan until the end of the season.

Cherries have an option to make that move permanent in the summer.

Blake said of the Uruguay international: “We are delighted to secure the services of Matías for at least the second half of the season.

“Even though he only turned 25 in November, he arrives with a great deal of experience, including last season’s European success with Roma.

“Our fourth recruit of the transfer window, Matías will provide strong competition for places in our youthful squad and we welcome him to AFC Bournemouth.”

Vina could make his debut in Saturday’s Premier League clash at Brighton.
