DANGO Ouattara commented how he was “swayed” by Cherries to join the Premier League club, sharing: “The overall project really convinced me.”
Burkina Faso international Ouattara became the first signing of the Black Knight-era last Thursday, arriving on the south coast from Ligue 1 outfit FC Lorient for a fee in the region of £20million.

The winger then made his debut for his new club days later, setting up Jaidon Anthony for Cherries’ opener in a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Speaking about the move to Dorset, Ouattara told afcbtv: “I am happy. The welcome was perfect for me, so I’m very pleased to be here, both in the town and in my new family.
“I hope to do great things for the town and for the team.
“I saw some pictures of the town and I said to myself: ‘Why not come here?’
“The town isn’t too different from Lorient, so I decided to come here.
“I also saw some of the team’s games and the overall project really convinced me, so I decided to join Bournemouth.
“I am very excited, it’s the best league in the world so I’m looking forward to it.”
With numerous suitors around Europe, Cherries moved quickly to bring the 20-year-old to the Vitality Stadium.
“I was swayed by the speech that the directors gave me, also the coach talked me through his plans and what he wanted to do with the team,” explained Ouattara.
“That really convinced me, so I decided to join Bournemouth, both for my personal development and for what was laid out for me.”
Fans got a first glimpse of the direct and fearless style Ouattara brings to the club at the weekend, with the attacker stressing: “The message I have for the fans is that I’m now part of the family and I will do my absolute best in every match whether that’s on or off the pitch.
“I will do everything I can to impress them after the trust they’ve put in me.”
