CHERRIES have been drawn at home against Burnley in the third round of this season’s FA Cup.
Ball number one in the draw, Gary O’Neil’s side are set to take on Vincent Kompany’s Clarets on the weekend of January 7.
Relegated from the Premier League last season, the Turf Moor outfit are currently top of the pile in the second tier.
The last time the two sides met, Jonathan Woodgate’s Cherries sealed a 2-0 FA Cup victory in February 2021 – thanks to goals from Sam Surridge and Junior Stanislas.
Cherries reached the fourth round of last season’s competition having beaten Yeovil Town at Huish Park in their opening fixture.
They then however were on the end of a shock 1-0 home defeat to Boreham Wood back in February.
