PHILIP Billing watched on from the bench as his country fell to the wrong side of a 2-1 defeat, with Croatia thwarting Denmark.
The 26-year-old, who has played in all seven of Cherries’ league game so far this season, has featured just once for Denmark during their Nations League campaign, playing 45 minutes against Austria in the summer.
He again was left on the bench as the Danes slipped to a second defeat against Croatia in the group, with Borna Sosa opening scores shortly after the break.
Manchester United star Christian Eriksen scored out of nowhere for the equaliser, but the comeback was short lived as Lovro Majer quickly restored his country’s lead.
