PHILIP Billing has been nominated for yet another award by the Premier League – with the Cherries midfielder’s strike against Nottingham Forest up for the Goal of the Month award.

It felt like Cherries would require a bit of magic to get back into the game against Forest, with Billing’s side two goals behind at half-time.

Shortly after the restart the former Huddersfield Town man supplied that magic, blasting past Dean Henderson in the Forest goal from long range.

The wonder strike has quite rightly been recognised by the Premier League as one of the best strikes from September, with Billing’s overall form over the last month also recognised.

Currently on international duty with Denmark, the 26-year-old has also been nominated for the Player of the Month award, thanks to his goals against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United.

There could be a clean sweep of gongs for Cherries, as interim head coach Gary O’Neil has also been nominated for the Manager of the Month award, thanks to steering Cherries to four points in their two Premier League fixtures this month.

Other strikes that have been nominated for the award include two of Heung Min Son’s ranged efforts against Leicester City, two goals from Ivan Toney’s hat-trick against Leeds United, whilst Fulham duo Aleksander Mitrovic and João Palhinha are also in the mix.

Brighton’s Alex Mac Allister rounds out the selection of eight goals, with fans able to vote for their favourite via the Premier League website. Voting will close at midday, on Monday, September 26, with votes combined with the choices from a panel of experts to determine the winner.
