INTERIM head coach Gary O'Neil insists he has still heard nothing regarding a potential takeover of the club, joking: "Probably the only thing that excites the players is a free trip to Las Vegas!"
Reports emerged this week that a group led by American businessman Bill Foley were in talks to buy Cherries off Maxim Demin.
Foley is majority owner of the National Hockey League side Las Vegas Golden Knights, having helped bring them to existence in 2017.
Asked if talk of a glamorous takeover bid had been a boost to his squad in the build-up to Saturday's trip to Newcastle, O'Neil said: "I’m not sure. I haven’t heard any chat of it between the players.
"I’ve had no mention of it. We’ve been working on the stuff on the grass.
"Probably the only thing that excites the players is a free trip to Las Vegas at the end of the season!
"So I don’t think they’re too concerned about it."
O'Neil remains unbeaten in interim charge, collecting five points from three matches following the 1-1 draw at St James' Park.
