CHERRIES are "battling" Championship clubs Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield United to try and sign Yerson Chacon, according to a report by Football Insider.
Chacon, 19, is a full Venezuela international, having made his debut against Bolivia earlier this year.
The winger currently plies his trade for his hometown team Deportivo Tachira, who won the Venezuelan top flight last year.
Belgian clubs Club Brugge and Anderlecht have also been linked, as well as French pair Angers and Strasbourg.
Cherries have already signed two South American players this summer, in Brazilian goalkeeper Neto and Argentinean centre-back Marcos Senesi.
The transfer window closes on Thursday, September 1, with Cherries boss Scott Parker very keen for further additions to his squad.
