A LOAN bid for Emi Marcondes has been turned down by the player, according to reports.

27-year-old Marcondes, who joined Cherries last summer after his contract with Brentford expired, had been the subject of an attempted loan move back to his native Denmark, by Danish top-flight side Brondby, according to the bold.dk.

Marcondes helped Brentford and Cherries to promotion in consecutive years, with the midfielder very vocal about fulfilling his dream of playing in the Premier League.

He is yet to make an appearance this season, but the former FC Midtjylland player has been named on the bench for both of Cherries’ two games so far this campaign.

Whilst Marcondes did not confirm the specific club involved, he confirmed the bid to bold.dk, stating: "I will not comment on which clubs have approached, but I have had good talks with my manager about the road to playing time getting shorter and shorter."

"He is very satisfied with my work effort and my professionalism, and hopefully it won't be long before I fulfil my dream of playing in the Premier League."
