SCOTT Parker says Cherries would like to sign "a few" more players before next month's transfer deadline, but stopped short of stating in which positions he would like to strengthen.

Little over two weeks remain before the transfer window slams shut at 11pm on Thursday, September 1.

Cherries have made five additions this summer, but only two have played so far in Marcus Tavernier and Marcos Senesi.

Neto was an unused substitute at Manchester City on Saturday, while Joe Rothwell and Ryan Fredericks are injured.

Jordan Zemura was a late drop-out ahead of the trip to the Etihad at the weekend, which saw Jack Stacey drafted in to play in an unfamiliar left-wing-back role.

Asked if he is looking to add a left-back to his squad to provide more depth in that position, Parker told the Daily Echo: "We’d like a few in really. I think that’s probably where we are.

"We’d like a couple in if we can, just to strengthen us up, make us a little bit more competitive, a bit deeper in our squad.

"We’ve got two injuries (Dominic Solanke and Zemura) that have dropped out (on Friday) and instantly you see that all our numbers were here (at Man City).

"Hopefully we can do that in the next couple of weeks."
