NETO may not be a household name for football fans in England, but he must have a few numbers of former world-class teammates.
Thanks to stints at European giants Juventus and Barcelona, as well as numerous call ups to the Brazilian national team, the 33-year-old has shared dressing rooms and pitches with some of the biggest names in world football.
At Juventus he was back up to the legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, with Brazil he played alongside Neymar and Thiago Silva, and whilst at Barcelona he shared a pitch with Leo Messi.
The shot stopper believes that he can take his experience of rubbing shoulders with footballing royalty and help Cherries this season.
Speaking to afcbtv about his stint with Juventus and Buffon, he shared: “It was an amazing experience, not just with him, but I had the opportunity to work with many important players, and to understand, to develop my career and my life.
“It was a real experience playing with Gigi, I could learn a lot of things.
“And I want to try in my objective, my goal, is to put everything I learn in my life, and put something to help Bournemouth.”
